Who is responsible

App data stays on the device
Legal Land Locator has no account and no third-party analytics or advertising SDK, and it does not use an advertising identifier. Legal descriptions, lookup history, saved sites, job names, notes and preferences remain on your device, under your control. Eutopix Labs cannot see them. The only data the app can send to Eutopix Labs is the optional usage counts described below, and only if you turn that setting on.
Optional iCloud Drive backup
You can choose to back up your saved sites and history to your own private iCloud Drive. Manual backups are available in Settings; automatic backups run only if you turn them on (Pro). Backups are stored in the app's private iCloud Drive folder in your Apple Account, operated by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy. Eutopix Labs has no access to them. The newest automatic backups from the device are kept, plus one per month for recent months; manual backups stay until you delete them. You can delete any backup in the app's backup settings, or remove the app's data from iCloud in your device's iCloud settings.
Optional usage sharing
Legal Land Locator does not track you across apps or websites and does not use an advertising identifier. In versions that offer Usage analytics in Settings, you can choose to share basic counts to help Eutopix Labs improve Legal Land Locator. Sharing is off by default and normal features remain usable without it. Counts cover app opens, successful tasks, paywall and plan choices, purchase outcomes and useful returns, plus coarse counters for usage-queue overflow, upload failure and upload rejection (no raw error text), and app version, platform, UTC day and consent-cohort week. We do not send document contents, text, recordings, precise locations, financial amounts, name, email, advertising identifiers or persistent account, installation or device identifiers. Purchase outcomes are categories, not transaction identifiers or amounts; locally used transaction identifiers are not uploaded. A temporary random batch identifier recognizes retries. Nothing is collected or queued for analytics before consent.
Eutopix Labs operates the collector using Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1. The database is restricted to the European Union, but Cloudflare's network may process requests elsewhere and necessarily sees the network address during transport. The collector’s application code does not log or store IP addresses, request headers or raw request bodies. Cloudflare may still process infrastructure and security information under its own obligations and applicable safeguards. Requests are not guaranteed anonymous or entirely processed within the EU. No advertising personalization or cross-company tracking is added.
Unsent counts expire after 7 days. Daily cleanup removes retry identifiers older than 8 days and aggregate counts older than 400 days. Provider recovery copies may retain earlier database states for an additional recovery window, currently up to 30 days depending on the Cloudflare plan. Turning sharing off deletes unsent counts and local sharing metadata; requests already sent may already have been accepted. Combined totals contain no person identifier, so we cannot locate or erase a person's past contribution. Questions and applicable rights requests can be sent to privacy@legallandlocator.com.
Location and maps
Location access is optional and used on the device only after you request a reverse lookup, distance or bearing. Maps are displayed with Apple Maps (MapKit), so Apple receives the map area being viewed to deliver map tiles, under Apple's privacy policy. If you choose navigation or sharing, the coordinates are passed to the selected map service (Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze), app or recipient under that party's privacy policy.
Purchases
Apple processes purchases and subscriptions through StoreKit. The app sees only whether Pro is active; Eutopix Labs does not receive payment-card details or your Apple Account identity. Subscriptions are viewed, changed and cancelled in the App Store account settings.
Apple ad attribution
Legal Land Locator shows no ads, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), never shows an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Apple’s own measurement. If you install Legal Land Locator after tapping an Apple Ads advertisement, Apple may count the install and attribute it to that ad using its own App Store measurement. Apple is responsible for that processing; see Apple’s privacy policy.
EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland. From the first update of Legal Land Locator released after 14 October 2026, the app sends no SKAdNetwork or AdAttributionKit conversion value in these regions. Earlier versions may send the coarse, aggregate value described below in every country.
Other regions. Outside these regions (and, in earlier versions, everywhere) the app may send a coarse, aggregate conversion value through Apple’s SKAdNetwork/AdAttributionKit: a number from 0 to 3 describing progress during the first days after installation (for example opened the app, completed a first lookup, viewed the offer, or subscribed or bought Pro). It contains no identifier, no IDFA and nothing about you, and no ATT prompt is shown. Apple passes it on delayed and combined with other installs; Eutopix Labs receives only aggregated postbacks that identify no one. Legal basis for those regions: our legitimate interest in measuring our own advertising (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR where applicable).
Support communications
If you email us, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send. Support correspondence is ordinarily retained for up to 24 months after the matter is closed, unless law requires longer.
This website
legallandlocator.com is hosted on Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and time, and may keep it in short-lived security and operational logs under its own policies.
Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the app, purchases and Pro access (StoreKit entitlement, optional iCloud backup you start): performance of the contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Optional usage counts: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in Settings.
- Support replies, website delivery and security, and ad-attribution measurement: our legitimate interests in answering you, running a secure website and understanding which campaigns work, without identifying you (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Keeping records where law requires it: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Recipients and international transfers
Processors and independent recipients are Apple (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, Apple Maps, ad attribution) and Cloudflare (website hosting and the optional usage collector). Map apps you choose for navigation receive the destination you send them. Some of these providers process data in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Data kept only on your device or in your iCloud is under your control: you can export or delete it in the app, or delete the app. To exercise a right regarding data we hold (such as support emails), write to privacy@legallandlocator.com.
You may lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl, or with the data-protection authority where you live or work.
California residents
We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. The only personal information we may hold is support correspondence (identifiers and the content you send), used to answer you.
Do Not Track: this site and our apps do not track you across third-party sites or services, so they behave the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Children
Legal Land Locator is a field-work tool and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We will update this page when the app's data practices change. 14 October 2026: added legal bases, the full rights list, the optional iCloud Drive backup, Apple Maps, ad attribution, website hosting and full company details.
