Western Canadian field crews often receive a compact legal land description instead of a street address. In a DLS or Alberta Township System description, the sequence normally identifies the Legal Subdivision, section, township, range and meridian.

This points to LSD 4, Section 15, Township 38, Range 22, west of the Fourth Meridian. Legal Land Locator accepts the compact form, individual fields, a map tap or the device location.

The current offline pack includes Alberta, Manitoba and British Columbia's Peace River Block. Saskatchewan is deliberately excluded until commercial redistribution rights for authoritative SaskGrid data are obtained.
